It was on March 31, 2011; that the Mathematics society was founded with the vision of fostering an awareness and appreciation of mathematics and its connection to other disciplines and everyday life. The society representing all the mathematics students in the university not only provides an opportunity for students to meet the lecturers and seniors to share their experiences in research and leadership qualities but also organizes seminars for school children (especially Combined Mathematics seminars for A/L students)under the guidance of lecturers in the dept. of Mathematics.
