Professor Sirimuthu obtained his B.Sc degree in chemistry from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and a PhD degree from the Queen\u2019s University of Belfast, United Kingdom. Following that he completed multiple postdoctoral fellowships in Queen\u2019s University, Belfast, UK, National University of Ireland, Galway, Republic of Ireland, University of Glasgow, UK, and the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK before he joined as a senior lecturer at the Department of Chemistry University of Sri Jayewardenepura.
