The Molecular Genetics Laboratory is dedicated to investigating various aspects of vector-borne Neglected Tropical Diseases in Sri Lanka, with the hope of understanding parasite and vector biology, their variants, and population genetics, vector competency and epidemiology, to aid healthcare officials and the general public make informed decisions regarding prevention, detection and treatment regimes. As we work towards achieving the targets set forth by the World Health Organization, we invite national and international collaborators to join forces with us to “End the Neglect” by 2030.
