One hundred school students participated in the practical sessions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>A guest talk on \u201c<strong>Two Dimensional materials @ 3M<\/strong>\u201d was jointly organized by the Sri Lanka Association for the Advancement of Science (SLAAS)-Section E1 and Physics Society of University of Sri Jayewardenepura on 31st of October 2019 from 3.30 pm to 4.30 pm at the PLT lecture hall. This event consists of different items like quizzes, secret train, the tallest tower with straws etc. Along with the first-Year students other students participated to welcome the juniors to the department. This contest consists of 2 rounds. 1<sup>st<\/sup> round consist of more than 18 groups over 160 participants participated in the competition. Out of them best 5 teams were selected for the round 2. A quiz session and a Presentation on the relevant topic was given to each team. The best 3 teams were selected. Maxwell\u2019s Demons, Gravity Gang, Lab Rats won the competition. Two guest artist \u201cSamare and Samare\u201d and Sandaru Sathsara\u201d\u00a0 featured the event with their fabulous items where all the participants had much fun.
