CFS offer unique ecotourism packages and conservation education programs based on our Conservation Education Center at Yagirala Forest, Mathugama. The Department-managed field research and training center and the forest at Yagirala is a great asset to DFES in terms of resources. When considered its high potential for nature-based tourism and outbound training activities, Yagirala provides numerous opportunities for exciting new ventures. Under Center for Sustainability, the place will be revitalized to promote it further as a model destination for sustainable tourism, and as a center for conservation education.
Through LEAP Sustainable Tourism Certification Consultative Program, CFS offer assistance in sustainable tourism development.
