Research interest

Designing new synthetic strategies to access biologically relevant molecular motifs and 4-, 5- and 6-membered N-heterocycles; methodology development and green chemistry in organic synthesis; synthesis of natural product-based therapeutics; improving the mechanical and functional properties of natural rubber latex and rubber-based products, including chemically modified carbon fiber-loaded rubber composites and slow-release transdermal drug-loaded rubber materials; cellulose- and chitosan-based materials for composites, drug-incorporated thin films and multifunctional textile coatings; conductive polymer-based sensors for early disease diagnosis and rapid bacteria detection in food packaging; nanochemistry-based detection of cyanotoxins in water; and surface-modified fillers for rubber and plastic products.
