Awards and Recognitions

  • Prof. D. A. Tantrigoda and Dr. M. M. P. M. Ferrnando won the NATIONAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY AWARD in 2008 in the category of Outstanding Science & Technology Contributions Having an Impact on Major National Projects for making a significant contribution in the application of science and technology for the submission titled “Estimation of sediment thickness in the Indian Ocean around Sri Lanka for claiming our Extended Economic Zone”.
  • Physics and Music Book published by Dr. M. M. P. M. Ferrnando (Contribution : 75%) and Dr. P. Thilakasiri (Contribution : 25%) nominated the State Literary Awards 2024 under the category of “හොඳම ස්වතන්ත්‍ර විවිධ විෂයක ග්‍රන්ථය“.
