The Department of Chemistry is proud to recognize the outstanding achievements of our students, Dinithi Senanayake and Viraj Pasindu, at the International Conference on Innovation and Emerging Technologies (ICIET) 2025. Their exceptional research presentations brought remarkable recognition to the department.
Dinithi Senanayake received the Best Presenter Award in the Science for Technology session for her work titled “Nanotechnology Driven Biodegradable Membranes for Wound Management: Electrospun PCL Nanohybrids with Trimetallic and Curcuminoids Synergy.”
Viraj Pasindu was awarded Best Presenter in the Materials Engineering and Process Technology session for his presentation on “Synergistic Charge Transfer in Electrospun GO-Ni-ZnO Membranes: A Visible Light Driven Platform for Optimized Photodegradation.”
In the overall competition for Outstanding Oral Presentations, both students further excelled, with
- Viraj Pasindu securing 2nd Place, and
- Dinithi Senanayake securing 3rd Place.
