The inauguration ceremony of the seventh batch of PG Diploma / MSc in Industrial Analytical Chemistry and the very first batch of postgraduate programs in Industrial Organic Chemistry was held on 11th of February 2023 at the Department of Chemistry premises. Three new programs namely Master of Science in Industrial Organic Chemistry, Master of Industrial Organic Chemistry and Postgraduate Diploma in Industrial Organic Chemistry were launched.
The ceremony was presided by Senior Professor M.M. Pathmalal, Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies, Prof. Champa D. Jayaweera, Head of the Department of Chemistry, Mrs. Charya Balasooriya, Assistant Registrar-Faculty of Graduate Studies, Dr. Asitha T. Cooray, Coordinator-Postgraduate programs in Industrial Analytical Chemistry, Dr. Upul Kumarasinghe, Coordinator-Postgraduate programs in Industrial Organic Chemistry, lecturers of the Department of Chemistry and the students.
