Who can apply
- Faculty Members
Faculty, conducting research or supervising student projects involving human participants, animals, or any other ethically sensitive materials must apply for ethical approval.
- Postgraduate Students
Postgraduate students, including those pursuing Master’s, MPhil, or PhD degrees, who conduct research involving ethical considerations must seek approval before commencing their research projects. This applies to:
- Thesis/Dissertation Research: Studies that are part of a degree requirement.
- Fieldwork involving human or animal subjects.
- Laboratory Experiments involving sensitive materials or environmental impacts.
- Undergraduate Students
- External Collaborators and Researchers
- Use university resources or facilities (e.g., laboratories, animal care facilities).
- Any research project involving human participants or sensitive data collected within the university’s jurisdiction.
- Potentially impact the university’s reputation or resources
