Who can apply

  1. Faculty Members

Faculty, conducting research or supervising student projects involving human participants, animals, or any other ethically sensitive materials must apply for ethical approval.

  1. Postgraduate Students

Postgraduate students, including those pursuing Master’s, MPhil, or PhD degrees, who conduct research involving ethical considerations must seek approval before commencing their research projects. This applies to:

  • Thesis/Dissertation Research: Studies that are part of a degree requirement.
  • Fieldwork involving human or animal subjects.
  • Laboratory Experiments involving sensitive materials or environmental impacts.
  1. Undergraduate Students
  2. External Collaborators and Researchers
  • Use university resources or facilities (e.g., laboratories, animal care facilities).
  • Any research project involving human participants or sensitive data collected within the university’s jurisdiction.
  • Potentially impact the university’s reputation or resources
