Research

Research interest

My postgraduate research was about developing a mathematical model for the transmission of Lymphatic Filariasis, which is a mosquito-borne parasitic disease. Model validation, model-based analysis, computational tactics were investigated in that work. Such research covers both pure and applied mathematical contexts, which is an interesting pathway for research in Applied Sciences.  I continue doing research in Mathematical Epidemiology studying dynamics relevant to disease transmission. In addition, I am interested on other arenas of Mathematical Modelling (eg. Mathematical Biology, Applications in Physics, Applications in Economics/Finance, etc.). Development of mathematical tools to cope with modelling strategies and statistical analysis is a specific interest. Differential Equations (ODE/PDE), Numerical Methods, Optimal Control and Mathematical Computing are the key subject fields that contribute to and benefited from research in modelling.
