Course: MAT 221 2.0 Functions of Several Variables (Compulsory)
Course Content:
Metric and algebraic structure of the Euclidean space, limits and continuity of multi variable functions, properties of continuous functions on compact (closed bounded) sets, intermediate value theorem, differentiation of multivariable functions, partial/directional derivatives, higher order partial derivatives, equality of mixed partials, differentiability and the total derivative, chain rule and change of variables formula, Jacobins, extreme values of multivariable functions, Lagrange multipliers, implicit function theorem.
