The Faculty of Applied Sciences at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura is all set to welcome the new batch of students for the 2023 academic year. An Orientation Programme has been organized to provide incoming students with valuable information and guidance as they embark on their educational journey.
The inauguration ceremony of the Orientation Programme will take place on 23rd May 2023 at Bandaranayake Hall, starting from 13:00 pm onwards. This event marks the beginning of a five-day programme designed to acquaint students with various aspects of university life.
The Orientation Programme includes the following key sessions:
- Inaugural Session
- Counselling Session
- Library Orientation
- Session on how to learn at the University
- Mentoring Program
- Departments visits
These sessions aim to provide students with the necessary tools and guidance to thrive in their academic pursuits. Additionally, we have curated a series of seminars and workshops to enhance students’ soft skills, including leadership, teamwork, adaptability, and innovative thinking.
We believe that the Orientation Programme will serve as a platform for students to foster personal and professional growth, enabling them to excel both academically and beyond.
