Faculty of Applied Sciences is proud to announce that nine academic members, three former academic members, and five researchers of the Faculty have won the presidential awards for scientific publications for 2019 and 2020.

In a glittering ceremony at the Sirimavo Bandaranaike Memorial Exposition Centre of the BMICH, Colombo 07, the prestigious President’s Awards for Scientific Research (PASR) for publication years 2019 and 2020 were held on November 21, 2023. The event, organized by the National Research Council (NRC), aimed to honor the brilliance of authors and inventors whose work showcased scientific significance during these two years.

17 scientists from the Faculty of Applied Sciences of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura (USJ) clinched the coveted PASR for their outstanding contributions to research. This event, an annual tradition since 1999, is a testament to the commitment of the NRC to building a vibrant scientific and technological community in Sri Lanka.
