49th Convocation of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura will be held on 06th, 07th and 08th October 2023 at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall for the conferment of degrees.

We are in the process of calling convocation supplications from the faculty wise this time. 

Accordingly eligible graduands of the Faculty of Applied Sciences are required to submit the completed convocation supplication forms. Graduands from other faculties also be called in due course.

Since the changes done by you of the name in Sinhala or name in English in the Supplication Form will not be accepted, do not change your name in the Supplication Form. If there are any corrections in your name (both Sinhala & English) as per Sinhala birth certificate or final results/university registration call 0112 758101.

Dully filled supplication forms along with the scanned copies of the following documents {(must be clear scanned documents (not images, photos taken from cameras, mobile phones or shaded/darked documents scanned by mobile phones.)} should be sent on or before 11.08.2023 via con.fas@sjp.ac.lk 

  1. Dully filled supplication form & the declaration (A4 size)
  2. The bank receipt for the payment of the convocation fee (yellow copy for the bank payment/generated payment slip for online payment)

(Documents No. 2 and No. 4 of the list of documents to be sent by registered post need not be sent by email.)

{Subject of the e-mail should be as follows:

  : Index number, Registration no, Name of the Degree 

    Ex : AS2018xxx, AS91xxx, B.Sc. (Honours) Degree in Computer Science}

As the reply e-mail will be sent to the graduands within 14 days by confirming the receiving of the above documents, make sure to send the above documents via your personal e-mail. If there is a graduate who has not received a reply email, should contact the Academic Student affairs, Publications & Examinations Division after 14 days. (contact numbers : 0112 758101)

List of Documents to be sent by registered post

  1. Dully filled supplication form & the declaration (A4 size)
  2. Certified copy of the birth certificate (This should be an accurate and identical copy of the birth certificate that you previously submitted to the university.)
  3. The bank receipt for the payment of the convocation fee (yellow copy for the bank payment/generated payment slip for online payment)
  4. A scanned copy of the first two pages of the Student Record Book 

The originals of the above documents together with a self-addressed (23 cm x 10 cm) Rs. 60/= stamped envelope stating the index number, registration number & the name of the degree with the relevant course on top left-hand corner (this is mentioned in no. 02 of the Convocation supplication form) should be sent by the registered post to the following address to reach on or before 18.08.2023. (do not send the Student Record Book or original Birth Certificate)

Extra information

In the original degree certificate, your name in Sinhala will be appeared as on your birth certificate, and in English it will be appeared as in the final results/university registration. {If there is any spelling correction in your name, call 0112 758101 before sending the supplication form} 

Cloaks will be issued by the Faculty of Applied Sciences a week prior to the Convocation. Before that you should handover your Student Identity Card to the Faculty Office and return your Library Books.
