As the academic year comes to a close, we bid a bittersweet farewell to our incredible team of demonstrators from the Department of Zoology. Your dedication, enthusiasm, and expertise have been instrumental in shaping the learning experiences of our students. From leading practical sessions to sharing your passion for the natural world, you have truly made a difference in the lives of many.

We are immensely grateful for your hard work, patience, and unwavering commitment to excellence. Your contributions have not gone unnoticed, and your presence will be greatly missed in the halls of our department.

Aquatic students have completed a Basic Life Saving session in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Life Saving Association.

From exploring the fundamentals of molecular genetics to understanding the applications of recombinant DNA technology, participants were exposed to a wide array of topics, fostering a deeper appreciation for the wonders of modern biotechnology.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of this workshop. Special thanks to Dr. Sachini Fernando Meth Madurangi, Dilekha Hegoda, Anushka Mendis, Sachini Upeka, Suwani Mithsuki, Ranthilini C Banduwardena and Amila Vimarshana Jayaweera, whose tireless efforts made this educational endeavor possible.
